We were all about sustainability and the environment this week at Beaufort as we celebrated Green Week, organized by the Green Committee.
On Monday we encouraged everyone to bring in stuffed animals to celebrate biodiversity.
On Tuesday, there was a showing of a David Attenborough documentary in the library at lunch.
On Wednesday, Walk on Wednesday took place with over 200 members of our school community traveling sustainably to school with Sahu being our winning house.
On Thursday there was a rave on the hall with green glow sticks.
On Friday we invited everyone to wear green or dress up as an animal and we announced the winners of our riddles throughout the week: Leah Whelan, Therese Doherty, Freddie Higgins, Bella Devlin and Aisling Keating.
Throughout the week peer teaching also took place in CSPE and religion classes. Hope everyone enjoyed it!
Here is a selection of photos of some of the wonderful events that happened this week for Green Week 2024. Well done to all involved in the organisation of this important week especially The Green Committee.
Even our Oratory display this week reflects our theme for Green Schools Week: biodiversity & the animal kingdom.
