On Friday 26th January, Ingrid Hoey and Ella De Guzman held a Fast Fashion workshop with Transition Year students. Ella told us about her shops “Siopaella” in Dublin which specialise in selling 2nd hand luxury bags. Ingrid talked about her background in fashion and the students took part in a “guess the real/fake bag” activity. Ingrid and Ella explained that a change of mind set is necessary about Fast fashion and that buying better quality items and using them longer or selling them is one way to combat the problem. It was a fun and fascinating insight into the fashion industry and Fast Fashion.
