This year the TY students joined a committee called ‘Headstrong.’ Headstrong is all about spreading awareness for adolescent’s mental health and is run with ‘Cycle Against Suicide’. It was run last year, and our school received an award this year for all our work. This year, Headstrong will organize and oversee events informing people how to take care of young peoples’mental health. Earlier this year, Sadbh Connolly, Ruth Darker Flynn, Emily Rossiter and Rachel Greally designed our Headstrong notice board. This will tell everyone about the events for the coming months, including sending Christmas cards to our Loreto Sister’s and Gratitude Tree. We meet every Thursday in the Cafeteria from 1-1.30pm and all Transition Year Students are welcome. We are so excited for the year ahead of us and helping make a difference in people’s lives around the school!
