When Mother Teresa won the Nobel Peace Prize she said “I am grateful to receive this prize in the name of the hungry, the naked, the homeless, of the crippled, of the blind, of the lepers, of all those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society, and are shunned by everyone.”
Mother Teresa of Calcutta entered the convent of Loreto Abbey in 1928 at the age of 18 to learn English. She came back from India to visit Loreto Abbey and Loreto Beaufort in 1974 and 1993.
