Lourdes Blog: Day 3

in News

Day three. We have been blessed with the sunshine and blue skies once again! Did we mention that we attend two or three liturgies a day?

Today we focused on Forgiveness and Reconciliation. Both the pilgrims and ourselves were given the opportunity to go to confession. It was a different and emotional experience and unlike the traditional confession we are used to.
Today there was also a very special mass for the anointing of the sick. The faith, hope and love that is evident here is overwhelming.
Five of our past pupils received medals for service in Lourdes. Ella, Eve, Laura and Shannon got bronze for three years service. And Kate Kirwan got a silver for five years service. These girls are our role models.
We practically set fire to Lourdes last night lighting candles for all your intentions. We followed the passage through the grotto at midnight and spent quiet time reflecting on what happened here and all that’s happened so far. An unforgettable experience!
