Day 1
Day one! After much anticipation, six very excited students arrived at the allocated time in Dublin airport with Mrs O’Reilly to begin their duties on the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage. After check in, we meet with the pilgrims, chatted and lent a helping hand where we could.
Fours hours later, our plane finally took off, arriving in Lourdes at 7pm local time. We left our luggage at the hotel and immediately headed to the domain. Words cannot do justice to the sight before us upon entering the domain. A torchlit procession greeted us – a truly magical sight! Our prairie was at 10pm as we met all the other blueshirts for the first time to reflect on the theme on the day, Our Hopes and Expectations for the trip.
We are really looking forward to tomorrow when we finally take up our duties on the wards and in the dining room.
