We were delighted to welcome 18 students and 3 teachers from our sister school in Ballarat Australia. The girls are over here on a pilgrimage visiting the place names associated with Mary Ward and Mother Theresa Ball. They will also visit other Loreto schools in Ireland and England. Their day began with us by visiting the grave of Mother Theresa Ball over in the grounds of Abbey House. They then gave a presentation to our fifth years giving an insight to their school life in Australia which was followed by our fifth year presentation on school life in Beaufort. The girls were delightful to meet and most interesting. They joined us for the final of the Loreto Senior Cup and took part with their own version of chanting and cheering on the team. It was a wonderful day and they all enjoyed the experience. We wish the girls a safe journey as they set off for York and thank them for bringing a bit of Australia to Beaufort.
