World Aids Day 2014 – Monday 1st Dec. – JPIC

in News

On the 1st December we celebrated World Aids Day. We decorated reception on the Friday before with red balloons, streamers, posters, signs, ribbon and lights. The reception looked exceptionally well. We had two signs made saying LHS supports World Aids Day outside the school for people driving and walking by. There was many girls outside the school gates handing out red ribbons to staff and students walking into the school. Throughout the day we had peer teaching given to first, second and third years. All staff members wore the colour red and 4th year students wore red accessories. It was very effective and the school was a sea of red. At the end of the day, we made an announcement on the intercom to reflect on World Aids Day. It was a very successful and enjoyable day.

Well done to the Justice and Peace Committee who have put a tremendous amount of work into our World Aids Day 2014 .
