Well done to the 1st Years, who made their parents and teachers proud this evening with their performances and the display of their project work. The evening started with Ms O’Donoghue welcoming the parents. We then enjoyed Mr Doyle’s Music class who performed a Billy Joel song followed by a second song accompanied by at least eight different instruments. We then had 1P and 1S performing Daniel with actions, chant and song. The final number was a short version of “The Sound of Music” by 1T and 1Q with a lovely combination of singing, acting and dance. Thanks to Ms Cruise and Ms Hogan for directing these. The girls then showed parents, siblings and grandparents around the school to their classrooms where an impressive array of projects were on display. Members of the Patents’ Association served tea and coffee in the cafeteria and it was a most pleasant and enjoyable evening. A special thanks to McMahon for putting it all together. It was great to see how much these girls have learnt this year.
