School Uniform Survey

in News

The Department of Education and Skills has written to the management authorities of all schools in Ireland and asked that schools strengthen the role of parents in how policies on uniforms are devised. To this end, they asked that schools should consult with parents (and with Parent Associations) on this issue. The question being asked is whether parents want the wearing of a uniform to continue and if they do, what the nature of that uniform should be. Consultation with parents is to take the form of a survey.

All this was discussed at a recent Parent’s Association meeting and Board of Management meeting. The consensus of the School, Board of Management and the Parent’s Association is that we wish the uniform worn by our daughters, to continue. The uniform is unique and distinctive to Loreto High School, Beaufort and our daughters wear it proudly.

In line with Department guidelines, we have decided to make a survey available for any parent who wishes to submit their views on the school’s uniform. Please follow the link below to complete the survey.

The link above will remain active until Friday May 9th.

Yours Sincerely,
Francis Carolan.
