ALL IRELAND LINGUISTICS OLYMPIAD

in News

Congratulations to Aileen Harnett, Aisling Stafford, Blánaid Ní Bhraonáin and Cressida Cleland who recently represented Beaufort in the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad in DCU. As part of the competition the girls were required to test their minds against the world’s toughest puzzles in language, logic and linguistics. This tricky contest involved students developing their own strategies to solve problems in real languages from around the world. Well done to the whole team for making it into the final. Special mention to Cressida and Blánaid who were awarded bronze medal rankings.
