Green Week

in News

This week in school the green committee will be promoting ‘Green Week’ to spread awareness on issues regarding our environment, climate change, and how we can act as a school body to reduce our carbon footprint.
Green Week kicked off to a great start on Monday the 27th with ‘Energy Day’ and Beaufort’s own earth hour. With ‘Transport Day’ marked by a Track and Trainer Day, we hope to promote walking, cycling or taking public transport to school instead of a lift.
‘Water Day’ on Wednesday will promote water conservation and this will be marked by a first-year water quiz. With ‘Recycling Day’ on Thursday, we will be promoting recycling in school and collecting used batteries.
Finally we hope to round off the week with ‘Climate Change Day’, and the planting of a new tree. Keep both your eyes and ears peeled for tips on how you can reduce your carbon footprint!
