It is very important that students travelling on the ski trip are properly clothed on the slopes. I have listed below the essential items for packing. I would strongly suggest wherever possible that students borrow ski clothing from friends or family, especially if students are not frequent skiers. Many of the items listed will be available at reasonable prices in Pennys, Aldi, Lidl, T K Maxx and Dunnes Stores. They should be in stores now and could make ideal Christmas gifts for students going skiing. Ski clothing is also available from The Great Outdoors in the city centre and 53 Degrees North (Carrickmines Shopping Centre), however, prices in these shops tend to be considerably higher than in the aforementioned stores.
Essential for the Ski Trip
- Ski jacket
- Ski trousers
- Ski gloves
- Hat
- A fleece / hoodie
- Warm under layers (long sleeved tops or under armour and tights or leggings)
- Ski socks & Snow Boots (or suitable walking boots)
- Sunglasses / ski goggles
- Sun cream & Lip balm
- Towel & swim wear
