Results of Green Committee’s Transport Survey

in News

In October, the Green Committee launched a walk to school campaign. We gave out raffle tickets to those who walked and held a raffle at the end of each week which had great prizes. One of the tasks we have recently performed in response to our walk to school campaign was to carry out a survey on how our students get to school.  The results are as follows:

–  52% drive, 41% walk, 5% take public transport and 2% cycle.

50% of those who drive have only 1 student in the car

The results are encouraging but the Green Committee feels that more must be done to reduce the carbon footprint of our students and our student body as a whole.  We would like to encourage all students to walk to school from now on.
