One World Week

in News

Beaufort Justice and Peace committees celebrated One World Week last week.

This fun, awareness-raising campaign ran alongside the 4th Year classes’ Millennium Development Goals campaign!

One World Week is a nationwide action, affiliated with The National Youth Council Of Ireland, that youth groups and schools take part in all over Ireland.

The theme of this campaign is drawn from local and global inequalities such as injustices in the south and prejudices towards different local cultures.

The group of fourth and fifth years ran really fun activities to encourage taking action at lunchtime and also during some class time.

There were  loads of opportunities for those interested in art as the art department  designed  and createdmasks to promote the week!

It was a wonderful week. Well done to everybody involved.
