The Senior Prefects are organising a Mental Health Awareness Week, 30th November to 4th December, in aid of the Samaritans Ireland.
The aim of this week is to educate the students of Beaufort on the subject of Mental Health and to inform them of the various organisations which provide help and support to those affected by it.
During the week various activities will be held to reinforce the issues surrounding mental health.
‘Sunshine Day’ will take place on Friday the 4th of December. Everyone will wear yellow for the day and there will be a prize for the class that makes the most effort and also a prize for a member of staff too. Pupils and staff will donate €2 to a fund in order to participate. This money will then be presented to a guest speaker from Samaritans Ireland.
Remember Mental Health Awareness Week starts 30th November.
