Our Water committee launched Green Week today with tips and announcements about conserving water and a ‘water’ themed music quiz at lunch time. We would really like everyone to try and be more conscientious about their water usage. For example
– do you turn the tap off when you brush your teeth?
– do you only fill the kettle with the amount of water you actually need?
– can you reduce your shower time to under 4 minutes?
These are 3 great ways that you can help conserve water daily and they’re not too hard to practice. Just imagine the amount of litres of water we, the students and staff of Beaufort and our families could save daily or weekly by following these 3 tips. That’s a lot of water!
Our fun activity went really well. The sun shone and the rain stayed away as we enjoyed our water themed music quiz outside in the quadrangle. Congrats to House Quandra collecting the most points and the winners of the music quiz. Massive thanks to our Water sub-committee who organised today’s music quiz. Their enthusiasm was infectious and they made sure everybody had a great time. Thanks also to Brendan for organising the music system.
