Congratulations to the Class of 2014 who graduated this evening. Thank you to the girls and their religion teachers Ms Donohue, Ms O’Reilly, Ms Walsh, Ms McAndrew and music director Ms Cruise for all the hard work they put into the Graduation mass which was enjoyed by all in Rathfarnham Church and celebrated by Fr. Martin. Fr Martin asked the girls to bring the value of forgiveness and loyalty with them throughout life. Their mass booklets were put together by Ms Carol Moody and her idea of colour booklets looked stunning. The girls had decorated the church with photographs of themselves with quotes and they really added to the warm and happy atmosphere tonight.
Afterwards students, staff and parents were invited back to the hall, where our newly appointed prefects welcomed us with some refreshments. The graduates were then presented with certificates and beautiful celtic crosses by Ms Coleman, Mr Carolan and Ms O’Donoghue.
Ms O’Donoghue opened with a very heartfelt speech. She spoke for the staff and thanked the girls and their parents for all their enthusiasm, support and spirit throughout their years in Beaufort. Her speech was followed by encouraging words emphasising friendship and loyalty by Mr Feighan. Niamh McLoughlin spoke eloquently at the end of the night on behalf of the girls, using a quote from fellow student Beth Gilmore to wish all her classmates well in the future.
Good luck to a wonderful year group and their families. We really will miss your spirit and support. We have enjoyed teaching and watching you grow. Your spirit and beauty will shine wherever you go 🙂
